Department of Statistical Sciences

The Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Padova was founded at the beginning of 1984. With the implementation of Law 240 of 2010, which dictated a new organizational scheme to the Universities, the Department of Statistical Sciences has remained essentially unchanged in its disciplinary definition and institutional campuses. However, in addition to the already assigned functions of scientific research and external activities, it has taken on new teaching and training functions, taking up the legacy of the Faculty of Statistical Sciences, which, like all the Faculties of the University, ceased its functions in December 2011.
