European Degree
On March 27, 2024, the European Commission presented the "Blueprint for a European Degree" initiative, outlining the path that will lead, in the near future, to the establishment of the European Degree.
Main features:
- Available for bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree programs
- Joint degree issued by a consortium of European universities
- Based on common criteria established at the European level
- Automatic recognition in all EU countries
- Offers study opportunities at various European universities
- Promotes the acquisition of interdisciplinary and future-oriented skills
- Contributes to increasing graduates' competitiveness in the international job market
The main objective of the European Degree is to promote deep integration of the European Higher Education System and strengthen European identity in higher education.
The University of Padua is following the development of this initiative with great interest, demonstrating its commitment through active participation in European projects on the topic, involvement in the European Arqus Alliance, participation in and organization of national and international conferences, and other activities aimed at promoting internationalization and educational excellence.
