Guided tours to Palazzo Bo

Palazzo Bo, central seat of the University of Padua, is located in the historical center of the city (via VIII Febbraio 2 - 35122 Padova).

On the occasion of the re-opening of Palazzo Bo to the public, shifts of extraordinary guided tours dedicated to Gio Ponti's ‘900 are scheduled on June and will be held in italian only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

The thematic tour "Palazzo Bo e il '900 di Gio Ponti" includes a guided visit of the two courtyards (with the artworks displayed there), the Rectorate, the "anatomical kitchen" and the Anatomical Theater. The Aula Magna Galileo Galilei, the Hall of Forty and the Hall of Medicine can also be visited.

The access to the internal spaces of the building is only possible through guided tours. For reasons of security and contingency of the flows of visitors due to COVID-19 emergency, the reservation is mandatory, with a maximum of 10 entries per tour.

Planned dates: 1, 2, 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 June 2020.

As soon as possible, during the week, we will return with standard guided tours of Palazzo Bo and special thematic tours dedicated to adults and children.

Ticket office is open on visiting days from 9 am to 6 pm. It is located in the hallway between the Old and the New Courtyard of Palazzo Bo. Reservation is mandatory.

  • € 12,00: single adults (26-64 years);
  • € 10,00: over 65, teachers and professors no UniPadova, Padova card;
  • € 9,00: UniPadova arts e science (showing the ticket from Botanical Garden / Sala dei Giganti), UniPadova Alumni;
  • € 8,00: young people (13-25 years), Servizio Civile volunteers;
  • € 25,00: family ticket: 2 adults plus 1 to 3 children (max. 17 years)
  • Free admission: children (0-5 years), under 13 (6-12 years with a paying adult), UniPadova Students, UniPadova Professors and employees, UniPadova Senior Scholars, journalists , guides, groups couriers, disabled people and their helpers, institutional guests and authorities on official visits to the University

  How to get to Palazzo Bo

The nearest airport to Padua is the Marco Polo International Airport (about 30 Km) Connections are provided by a bus service (Busitalia), running every half an hour to the Padua train Station (Trenitalia; Italo), which is close to the city centre. From there you can reach Palazzo Bo on foot in about 15 minutes. There is also a tram service - Sir 1 line - running every 10 minutes from the station to the vicinity of Palazzo Bo (Ponti romani tram stop).

Palazzo Bo lies in a limited traffic area (ZTL) where cars are not allowed without a special permission. The nearest parking lots can be found in Prato della Valle area (15 minutes, on foot).
