The T4L New Faculty & Base Course (T4L1) is divided into specific phases for a total of 24 hours:

4h in class, 4h online, 8h+4h in a residential stay, and 4h through a self-learning online platform.

The course is delivered either in English or Italian throughout the whole academic year. 

Course contents:

• Analysis and reflection on one's own teaching and learning perspectives
• Theoretical perspective of Active Learning
• Active Learning teaching strategies to promote student involvement
• Teacher-student relationship
• Micro-design of lessons using participatory methods
• Feedback (between teachers; between students/students and teachers) and evaluation of learning
• Design of a micro-lesson (microteaching)
• Integration of technologies in teaching
• Management of Moodle space for synchronous and asynchronous communication, as well as for evaluation and self-evaluation

Target:

Full Professors, Associate Professors and Researchers on permanent contracts, RTDAs, RTDBs who have already attended the New Faculty and Base Course (T4L1).

The T4L New Faculty & Base course is compulsory for all fixed-term researchers Type A and B (RTDA and RTDB) hired on or after 1st September 2022. The course must be completed within 18 months from the date of hire.

Follow-up

Six-nine months after the conclusion of the T4L1 course, a follow-up afternoon is planned to share the experience and the implementation of what was learnt during the T4L course in one's own teaching.
