Blended Learning
What is Blended Learning?
Blended learning integrates face-to-face teaching with online teaching. Its aim is to make the teaching and learning experience more flexible, efficient and effective by using the best of both methodologies.
Online lessons can consist of synchronous activities (teacher and class meet to conduct the lesson in a virtual environment) or asynchronous activities (given a delivery, the class works individually or in groups, in complete autonomy and at a different time from the standard class schedule).
The in-presence part, previously designed in integration with the online part, should be enhanced with active teaching methods that favour discussion, interaction between teachers/students and students/students and useful to connect with the online activity part. The active involvement of students, both in presence and online, is the most relevant factor to be considered in order to foster autonomy and participation in learning.
