
Summer 2025 at Unipd

After the end of the summer exam session, teaching activities will be suspended from Monday, August 4 to Saturday, August 16. From August 18 to September 20, the 2024/25 academic calendar includes a resit exam session. Unipd offers a variety of Summer Schools, providing opportunities to deepen academic knowledge and connect with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
The new academic year will officially begin on Wednesday, October 1, with teaching activities starting on Monday, September 29, 2025. However, departments may choose to begin teaching as early as Monday, September 22, or delay the start, particularly for degree programs with nationally regulated admission.
From August 11 to 19, 2025 (inclusive), all central administrative offices of the University will be closed, including the Teaching and Student Services offices, the Call Centre (049 827 3131), and the Public Relations Office (URP).
The University’s Cultural and Museum Sites Booking Centre remains operational throughout the summer at 049 827 3939, available daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Palazzo Bo is open for guided tours (free for Unipd students and staff); from August 11 to 19, it can be visited through the Palazzo del Bo and the 20th Century of Gio Ponti tour, either as a guided visit or self-guided with a QR code.
Until August 31, the portico of the Ancient Courtyard hosts the exhibition Out of Place. Art and Stories from Refugee Camps Around the World, which is open to the public free of charge.
The Botanic Garden remains open all summer, from 10 AM to 7 PM (last entry at 6:15 PM), Tuesday to Sunday and on holidays. It also features a series of summer events to help visitors fully experience the Garden’s spaces and collections, revealing the secrets of the plant world in a unique setting (free admission for Unipd students and staff).
The UNIPD Store bookshop at the Botanic Garden follows the same schedule as the Garden (closed only on Mondays).
The UNIPD Store at Palazzo Bo will be closed from August 11 to 24. The store on Via San Francesco is currently closed.
Several Unipd Museums are open to the public, offering special initiatives and guided tours, often free of charge. The Museum of Nature and Humankind continues to welcome visitors throughout the summer, offering a dynamic, multimedia, and interactive experience that explores the evolving planet, biodiversity, and the relationship between humans and the environment (free admission for Unipd students and staff).
The Asiago Astronomical Centre offers a rich program of family activities from July 12 to September 13. In Brixen, Unipd’s summer campus hosts courses and events from June to September.
The historic garden of Villa Parco Bolasco in Castelfranco Veneto is open to visitors every Saturday, Sunday, and on holidays throughout the summer (free admission for Unipd students and staff).
Numerous events are scheduled both on campus and throughout the city. Notably, the City of Padua’s summer series "Notturni Padovani" also includes visits to Unipd museums.
Throughout August, residents of the Province of Padua and University of Padua students can access several key municipal sites for free: the Eremitani Museum, Palazzo Zuckermann, Palazzo della Ragione, and the Museum of the Risorgimento and Contemporary Age.
