Libraries
We provide students and Unipd staff with a vast bibliographic and information heritage consisting of more than 1,500,000 volumes, 620,000 years of print periodicals, more than 61,000 scientific journals in electronic format, free or subscription-based, more than 160,000 e-books, 770 subject databases and other multimedia products.
This important information and documentary heritage is made accessible by the libraries and the Digital Library, which together form the University Library System.
The University Library System also offers real-time updates on Unipd libraries: the app Affluences makes it possible to view at any time the occupancy rate of available study spaces in each library of the University of Padua; it also provides information on opening hours, location and news.
Off-campus access to electronic resources available on the University network is possible thanks to eduVPN: thanks to this institutional service, you can consult e-books, journals and databases from home and from abroad as if you were connected to the Unipd network. Download the eduVPN application and configure it with your institutional credentials. The procedure is simple and quick, and allows you to connect in just a few clicks wherever you are.
The University libraries are also open to those who are not part of the Unipd community but are interested in consulting texts held in our libraries.
