Peer Observation
What is Peer Observation?
Peer observation involves a group of three teachers, possibly from different subject areas, taking it in turns to observe and be observed in the course of a lesson, in order to give and receive specific feedback on their own teaching practices.
Observing a colleague while giving a lesson is a valuable opportunity for professional growth that gives a different perspective on one's own teaching style, grasping and offering cues to innovate one's own teaching and sharing useful teaching practices to improve the students' learning experience.
It offers an opportunity to apply Active Learning in a real context and become more aware of one's own teaching action.
It is also an opportunity to strengthen the academic community.
How to participate?
All teachers who have attended a T4L course or workshop are welcome to participate in the project by registering in the following FORM (to request pairing with other colleagues).
In the Peer Observation Moodle you can find guidelines and support material for managing your triad.
You can obtain the Open Peer Observation Badge when you have been observed twice and observed four times, thus participating twice in the Peer Observation experience with two different triads.
