Peer Observation
What is Peer Observation?
peer observation involves a group of three lecturers, preferably from different disciplinary areas, who take turns to observe and be observed while delivering a lesson, in order to give and receive specific feedback on their teaching practices.
Peer observation during lessons is a valuable opportunity for professional growth that offers a different perspective on one’s own way of teaching, by identifying and offering ideas to innovate one’s teaching and by sharing useful teaching practices to improve the learning experience of students.
It offers the opportunity to apply Active Learning in a real context and to become increasingly aware of one’s own teaching practice.
It is also an opportunity to strengthen the academic community.
How can you take part?
All teaching staff who have attended a T4L course or workshop are welcome to take part in the project by registering online (also to request to be matched with other teaching staff).
In Moodle Peer Observation, you can find the guidelines and support materials for managing your triad.
It is possible to obtain the Open Badge Peer Observation once you have been observed twice and have observed four times, thus taking part twice in the Peer Observation experience with two different triads.
