The Aldo Gini Foundation was established by the University of Padua, based on the wishes and through the generous bequest of Engineer Aldo Gini, to create scholarships for young Italians who have demonstrated, during their studies or professional activity, particular aptitude in the field of exact sciences and their applications. It also aims to promote more intense collaboration between Italian scholars and technicians and those from other countries, with appropriate qualifications and abilities in the fields of Mathematical, Physical, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Agriculture, through direct contact between scholarship recipients and by facilitating the stay of foreign scholars in Italy.

The Aldo Gini Foundation has a guesthouse available to host Italian and foreign scholars and technicians visiting the Departments and Institutes of the University of Padua, as well as the Ducceschi Guesthouse.

The Foundation offers scholarships abroad to support those who intend to pursue study period and/or further specialization abroad.
