Paduan nocturnes at the Botanical Garden

The Paduan Nocturnes offer a series of evening guided tours of the Botanical Garden dedicated to the discovery of the Renaissance garden, the Botanical Museum and the Garden of Biodiversity.

Founded in 1545, the Botanical Garden of Padua is the oldest university botanical garden in the world still in its original campus. Located in the heart of the city, near Prato della Valle and the basilicas of Sant'Antonio and Santa Giustina, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997 as a cultural asset, recognized as the "cradle of science" and a model for all botanical gardens in the world.

The visits allow you to learn about the history of the site, created for the study of medicinal plants, and to deepen its role in the development of scientific research and in the international exchange of knowledge, plants and botanical materials. The itinerary also includes the Botanical Museum, inaugurated in 2023, with the collections of the historical Herbarium and the apothecary, and the Biodiversity Garden, created in 2014.

The appointment is at 6 pm at the ticket office of the Botanical Garden, in via Orto Botanico 15 in Padua. The tour lasts about an hour and a half.

For visits organized by the Paduan Nocturnes, the booking fee is 10 euros per person. Up to 17 years of age there is a reduced price of 6 euros. People with disabilities can access with a ticket that also includes admission for an accompanying person.

Reservations are required and places are limited. Payment must be made online by credit card at the end of the booking process. There is no payment by bank transfer.
