HR Excellence in Research HRS4R
For more than a decade, the University of Padua has been designing and executing three-year action plans to put into practice the principles established by the European Charter for Researchers. The University’s commitment to policies supporting research staff has enabled it to gain accreditation as a European institution awarded the "HR Excellence in Research" seal.
On 18 December 2023, the European Council formally adopted the Council Recommendation on a framework for research careers, including a new European Charter for Researchers, which replaces the previous 2005 version.
The cornerstone initiatives of our Plan address key areas such as professional development, training, mobility, evaluation systems, public engagement, working conditions, funding and salaries, participation, merit assessment, non-discrimination, and more.
