HR Excellence in Research HRS4R. European Charter for Researchers
For more than a decade, the University of Padua has been designing and implementing three-year action plans to concretely implement the principles established by the European Charter for Researchers, i.e. the European Charter for Researchers. The University's commitment to policies in favour of research staff has allowed it to be accredited as a European institution awarded the "HR Excellence in Research" seal.
On 18 December 2023, the European Council formally adopted the Council Recommendation on a framework for careers in research, including a new European Charter for Researchers, replacing the previous version of 2005.
The key initiatives of our Plan cover topics such as professional development, training, mobility, the evaluation system, engagement with public opinion, working conditions, funding and wages, participation, evaluation of merit, non-discrimination and much more
