Nature, science and wonder: summer at the Botanical Garden

Summer at the Botanical Garden of Padua is renewed with a rich calendar of events dedicated to discovering the plant world, biodiversity, and the relationship between nature, science, medicine and art.

Also this season, the Botanical Garden becomes an open-air stage: a lively space for meeting and sharing knowledge, to be explored by day and by night through guided tours, nature excursions, scientific insights and activities designed for different age groups.

The programme ranges from evening experiences dedicated to poisonous plants and witchcraft, to meetings and guided excursions discovering the biodiversity of Veneto, through to itineraries that weave together nature, medicine and art in a route between the Botanical Garden and the Museum of Nature and Humankind.

The season begins on Wednesday 1 July with a travelling guided tour dedicated to the relationship between plants, medicine and art. 
On Friday 3 July, a nature excursion to the Fòses lake plateau and the springs of the Boite is scheduled instead.

Between July and August, the calendar continues with numerous events aimed at different audiences, confirming the Botanical Garden as a place of knowledge, experience and participation. The programme will close in September with L’Orto in gioco, a day of activities dedicated to younger children, scheduled for Saturday 5 September.
