Nature, science and wonder: summer at the Orto botanico

Summer at the Botanical Garden of Padua is renewed with a rich calendar of events dedicated to discovering the plant world, biodiversity, and the relationship between nature, science, medicine, and art.

Also this season, the Botanical Garden is transformed into an open-air stage: a vibrant space for meeting and sharing knowledge, to be explored by day and by evening through guided tours, nature excursions, scientific insights, and activities designed for different age groups.

The programme ranges from evening experiences dedicated to poisonous plants and witchcraft, to meetings and guided excursions discovering the biodiversity of Veneto, and itineraries that weave together nature, medicine, and art in a route between the Botanical Garden and the Museum of Nature and Humankind.

The season opens on Wednesday 1 July with a travelling guided tour dedicated to the relationship between plants, medicine, and art. 
On Friday 3 July, a nature excursion to the plateau of the lakes of Fòses and the springs of the Boite is scheduled instead.

Between July and August, the calendar continues with numerous events aimed at different audiences, confirming the Botanical Garden as a place of knowledge, experience, and participation. The programme will close in September with L’Orto in gioco, a day of activities dedicated to younger children, scheduled for Saturday 5 September.
