Accessibility is the characteristic of websites that makes them usable effectively and satisfactorily even by those who are in "disadvantaged" conditions such as, for example, people with disabilities, but also the elderly, people with obsolete hardware and software technology and so on.

The accessibility of websites is regulated in Italy by Law 4/2004: this law, entitled "Provisions to facilitate the access of disabled persons to IT tools" applies to the public administration, but is also a model for private individuals. The Law defines a series of requirements to be complied with and the procedures for verifying the accessibility of a website: these checks are conducted by Accessibility Evaluators certified by CNIPA/DigitPA.

It is possible to report irregularities or difficulties encountered by sending an email to webmaster@unipd.it.
