We promote interdisciplinary and international research, with a strong focus on innovation and technology transfer
More than eight centuries of history and future
Our centuries-old tradition in scientific research continues to inspire and drive us to innovate year after year. We host numerous centers of excellence and develop innovative projects in the medical, technological, environmental and humanistic fields. We are constantly investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure and laboratories. Researchers, as well as doctoral students, collaborate with international institutions and contribute to fundamental multidisciplinary discoveries.

In the catalog you can find who our most experienced people are, their skills and publications, structures, initiatives for the territory and technology transfer

We are part of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment - CoARA, a consortium of organizations engaged in the reform of research evaluation methods and processes, and of research personnel and organizations. By joining CoARA, the university has committed to promoting the 10 commitments of the Agreement on the reform of research evaluation through a multi-year action plan and involvement in international Working Groups .
Our research is excellent, with a centuries-old tradition that today translates into multidisciplinary dynamism and strong social and economic impact. Anvur has placed us in band A, the highest, a result never achieved before by any large university.

Research excellence is not a privilege of the few, but a collective good, an engine of sustainable, cultural and human development. Today, more than ever, it is our duty to defend, support and enhance it
Research stems from the curiosity to understand and generate knowledge. We wonder what is behind the mechanisms by which a disease develops and how our body works, and we still have many question marks. But by doing research we can understand many things that can then lead us to hypothesize and develop new treatments. How our research ends up having an impact on society
There is an enlightening phrase uttered by Graeme Wood that says: "Change has never been so fast and will never be so slow again". The wave is high and moving, you have to be there. And we are there. Also thanks to the constant support that the University has shown towards research activities on quantum sciences and technologies, support that is allowing and will allow colleagues of our University to participate in the second quantum revolution. On the front line.
