Information on the processing of personal data (Website)
Information pursuant to art. 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679
Pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, containing provisions on data protection, we wish to inform you that the personal data you voluntarily provide to the University of Padua will be processed by the same adopting the appropriate measures to guarantee their security and confidentiality, in compliance with the aforementioned legislation.
1.1. Browsing data.
The computer systems used to operate the unipd.it site automatically acquire, in their daily operation, some personal data that are implicitly transmitted in the use of web communication protocols. This is data that, if processed with data held by third parties, could identify users/visitors. These are, for example, the IP address and domain names of the computers used by users/visitors who connect to unipd.it. These personal data are normally collected for statistical surveys, managed anonymously and used to facilitate navigation on the unipd.it site.
1.2. Cookies.
The unipd.it site uses tracking cookies, short text strings that are sent by the site server to the browser of the user/visitor of the site and are automatically saved on the user/visitor's PC. The purpose is to carry out statistical analyses for the sole purpose of improving the offer of services and therefore it is advisable to configure your browser to accept them. Almost all browsers are set to accept cookies, however the user/visitor can independently modify the configuration of their browser and block cookies (see point 1.2.2 "How to disable cookies (opt-out)").
1.2.1. Tracking cookies
The services contained in this section allow the Data Controller to monitor and analyze traffic data and are used to keep track of the User's behavior.
Tracking cookies can be disabled without any consequence on the navigation of the portal.
1.2.1.1 Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited)
Google Analytics is a statistical service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). Google uses the Personal Data collected for the purpose of tracking and examining the use of this Application, compiling reports and sharing them with other services developed by Google.
Google may use Personal Data to contextualize and personalize ads from its advertising network.
In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are used at the time of collection and then deleted before the data is recorded in any data center or server. You can find out more about it in Google's official documentation.
Personal Data processed: city, Usage Data, browser information, device information, latitude (of the city), longitude (of the city), number of Users, session statistics and Trackers.

1.2.1.2 Web Analytics Italy (WAI)
Web Analytics Italia, based on Matomo, is a platform that offers real-time statistics of visitors to Public Administration sites, providing operators with detailed reports.
The Web Analytics Italia platform, managed by AGID, uses cookies owned by AgID and exclusively for statistical purposes and using IP anonymization procedures.

1.2.2. How to disable cookies (opt-out)
It is possible to deny consent to the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting on your browser: unauthenticated navigation on the portal will still be available in all its functions. Alternatively, you can disable only Google Analytics cookies , using the opt-out add-on provided by Google for the main browsers.
1.2.3. Remarketing and Behavioral Targeting
This type of service allows this Application and its partners to communicate, optimize and serve advertisements based on the past use of this Application by the User.
This is facilitated by tracking Usage Data and using Trackers to collect information that is then transferred to partners who manage remarketing and behavioral targeting activities.
Some services offer a remarketing option based on email lists.
Generally, services of this type offer the possibility of deactivating such tracking. This type of service is functional to the centralized management of the tags or scripts used on this Application.
The use of these services involves the flow of User Data through them and, where applicable, its retention.

1.2.5 Google reCAPTCHA (Google Ireland Limited)
This type of service analyzes the traffic of this Application, potentially containing Users' Personal Data, in order to filter it from unwanted traffic parts, messages and content recognized as spam or protect it from malicious bot activity.
Google reCAPTCHA is a SPAM protection service provided by Google Ireland Limited.
Use of the reCAPTCHA system is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms of use .

1.3 Purpose and storage of data
The data collected is processed exclusively for statistical analysis, for the sole purpose of improving the offer of services and for the minimum time necessary to carry out the service.
1.4. Data processing:
The processing will be carried out both manually and with the aid of electronic means, or in any case automated, and includes, in compliance with the limits and conditions set by the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679: collection, recording, organization, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, cancellation and destruction of data.
The data collected will not be disseminated or communicated to third parties, except in the cases provided for by the information and/or by the law and, in any case, in the manner permitted by the same.
The data may become known to the data processors or persons in charge of the processing, within the scope of their respective functions and in accordance with the instructions received, only for the achievement of the specific purposes indicated in this policy.
