Babele fest 2026

From 25 June to 2 July , the 2026 edition of the Babele Festival is celebrated, the theatrical review that stages the final performances of the foreign language theatre workshops offered by the Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies of the University of Padua.
With a history of more than twenty years, for this year the Festival hosts performances in Italian, French, German, Spanish, Romanian, Neo-Greek, Russian and Portuguese, as well as a multilingual adaptation composed of fragments in Belarusian, Polish, Romanian, Serbian and Hungarian.
Born as creative tools to support teaching for language learning, DiSLL's theatre workshops have been consolidated over the years as multifaceted containers, within which students have the opportunity to actively participate in the (re)elaboration of dramaturgy and the creation of costumes, sets and audiovisual material. The result is a varied review in terms of styles, signatures and forms of the final shows.
Admission is free and without the need for reservation, subject to availability.
