L'Orto dei sogni. A night in a tent at the Botanical Garden

English version

30.06.2025

The University of Padua’s Botanical Garden once again offers children the chance to spend a truly special night, marking the start of the "Summer in the Garden" program.

As evening falls and the Botanical Garden slows to the rhythm of night, the atmosphere transforms. It’s in this suspended moment that a new way of experiencing the Garden emerges: sleeping surrounded by greenery, under a moonlit sky, lulled by the rustling leaves and the gentle breath of Nature.

On July 4, the Garden invites young adventurers to a unique experience: a night in a tent, far from the daytime bustle and immersed in the world’s oldest botanical garden. After a picnic dinner, the evening continues with a guided torchlit tour and participation in the theatrical installation Arcipelago. In the morning, while adults take down the tents, children will join the gardeners in their daily routines, connecting with the life of the Garden as it awakens.

The event starts at 7:30 PM and is designed for children aged 6 to 12, accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are €30 per person (€20 for members), available online from Thursday, June 26. Tickets are non-refundable.

By presenting the event ticket, participants can visit the Botanical Garden again on Saturday, July 5. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Friday, July 11.
