The QS Graduate Employability Ranking analyzes the relationship between the university and the employment results achieved by graduates.  Using a series of metrics that aims at indicating success beyond simple employment rates, The University of Padova grew significantly in consideration to ‘Employer Reputation’, earning the school an increase of more than 50 positions and placing its rank at 246 worldwide. However, the indicator that showed the most impressive peak of excellence was in relation to its collaboration with companies, or ‘Partnerships with Employers’ criteria.  This specific criterion earned UniPD an additional eight positions, ranking it among the top 10 universities in the world (in 10th place). The evaluation is based on two specific factors, joint university-business publications and companies’ ability to offer job positions and internships for students and graduates. More specifically these big corporations are those included in the Fortune and Forbes lists, and who are actively collaborating with universities.

Comment’s from the Coordinator of the Ranking Commission, Prof. Giulio Vidotto, "The encouraging results testify, on the one hand, to the attractiveness of the research produced at the University of Padova not only in terms of new knowledge but also in terms of application development (alongside important industrial partners) of new products and services, which will have a real impact on the real economy and on people's lives. On the other hand, they highlight the usability of the knowledge acquired by our students in the labour market, which is evident by the growing number of companies that find the University to be a reliable partner in their recruitment activities.”
