The University of Padova Hosts the International Symposium on Beyond Li-Ion Batteries 2024 - BeLI24

27.08.2024

From 1 to 6 September, the University of Padova, through its Department of Industrial Engineering, will host the International Symposium on Beyond Li-Ion Batteries 2024 – BeLI24. The event will take place in Padova, a city renowned as a significant center of scientific, classical and humanistic culture, at the Padova Congress Center - Via Niccolò Tommaseo, 59.

BeLI24 is a world-class event that will bring together scientists and researchers from around the globe who are engaged in the development of materials and devices for electrochemical energy storage, with a specific focus on technologies beyond lithium-ion batteries. This includes the study of materials such as anodes, cathodes, and electrolytes for solid-state batteries, high-voltage batteries, lithium metal batteries, and batteries that do not rely on lithium ions.

The symposium will be inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Sir Stanley Whittingham (Binghamton University), Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 2019 for his groundbreaking contributions to the development of lithium-ion batteries.

BeLI24 will not only provide an opportunity to discuss the fundamental and applied aspects of materials for next-generation batteries, but also to explore highly relevant topics such as safety, circular economy, and the environmental impact of new technologies. Special attention will also be given to redox flow batteries, which represent a promising solution for large-scale energy storage.

We are excited to welcome all participants to Padova to collectively advance the frontiers of science and technology in the field of next-generation batteries.

The conference is reserved for scientists and experts; registration with payment of a fee is required.
