Unipd’s educational offering pays off: student enrollment up 6.4%

11.01.2022

A total of 23,270 new students have enrolled at the University of Padua for the 2021-2022 academic year, of which 2,268 are international students (9.7% of the total), comparing this to the 2020-2021 academic year with 21,860 new students, enrollment is up 6.4 per cent. Undergraduate student enrollment is up 5.6% (students enrolled in three-year degree courses), and graduate students enrolled in either single-cycle Master or other graduate degree courses is up by approximately 7% (final count calculated at the end of the January enrollment period).

Remarks from the University of Padua Rector Daniela Mapelli, "An increase of newly enrolled students is quite encouraging as we embark on a new year that celebrates 800 years of University of Padua history.  Each of the 1410 additional students, who chose the University of Padua, is proof of the accelerated appeal of our educational offerings, telling us that both Italian and international students are eager to invest their future in Padua. Our trending growth continues, as our university has yet to see a decrease in enrollment rates while other Italian institutions of higher educations have dealt with contrasting dynamics in recent years. Our results have paid off thanks to the quality and wide range of teaching and training offerings, ensuring that we stay current while emphasizing tailored course studies that meet the demands of the professional marketplace.”
