28.03.2024

Studies conducted by Massimo Guarnieri, professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Padua and head of EESCoLab - Laboratory of Electrochemical Energy Accumulation and Conversion, have been cited in the 2024 Economic Report of the President of the United States. Former president of the Technology Committee of Flow Batteries Europe, Guarnieri is a member of the European Public Policy Committee of the IEEE - Energy Working Group.

The 2024 Economic Report of the President presents an overview of the nation's economic progress, and takes into consideration several themes, as indicated by the White House letter addressed to Prof. Guarnieri.

Prof Guarnieri explains: “My research concerns the transition from fossil fuels to renewable sources, known as the decarburization of energy, which are supported by the technologies behind electrochemical energy storage systems for both mobility and stationary use. In particular, the Council of Economic Advisers took into consideration my studies on the evolution of electric vehicles compared to that of vehicles with internal combustion engines (petrol and diesel)".
