Unincontro, Unipd welcomes its first-year students

20.09.2019

On October 1 (Palazzo Bo, Aula Magna, h.16), the University of Padova welcomes its first-year students to Unincontro 2019, led by Federico Taddia with greetings from Rector Rosario Rizzuto and the Mayor of Padua, Sergio Giordani.

University life, the challenges, the satisfactions, and the studies behind it all are told through the voices of four research protagonists: Elena Desiderà, PhD student in Marine Biology, Martha Pamato, researcher in Geological Sciences, Diego De Stefani, researcher in Biochemistry, and Marco Liviero, professor of English language and literature at Eton College.

Held in the prestigious setting of the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bo, Simone Savogin and Flavia Neri will challenge each other to the sound of words in an unprecedented poetry slam.  A poetry slam is a friendly competition in which poets are judged on their performance.   This first of such an event for our University, the poets, one of which performed on Italia's Got Talent will compete against a young challenger from Genoa.  A jury chaired by Annalisa Oboe, Director of Social, Cultural and Gender Relations, and a group of first year students will evaluate the performance of the two poets.

During the meeting, Dutch Nazari's cantautoRAP (singing and rapping) will be accompanied by Sick et Simpliciter as they raid the Aula Magna with their music. Afterwards, all the participants of the afternoon meeting are welcome to Caffè Pedrocchi for an aperitivo: the Academy Night VII with the concert by Dutch Nazari is always accompanied by Sick et Simpliciter, along with the entertainment of RadioBue.it, the webradio of the University of Padova.
