In the silence between
24.02.2025
On the occasion of International Women's Day and as part of the initiatives for an "8 marzo diffuso" by the University of Padua, on March 7, the Aula Magna of Palazzo del Bo in Padua will host the concert "In the silence between" by My Venice Orchestra, an all-female ensemble of the Veneto Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stefano Romani, with the participation of tenor Cristian Ricci. The evening will be hosted by writer and journalist Federica Morello.
The My Venice Orchestra ensemble is composed exclusively of female musicians and performs a wide musical repertoire from various periods and genres, showcasing the excellence and uniqueness of the driving force of female artistic interpretative language, and reinforcing the important debate on gender equality issues.
The musical theme of the evening is a tribute to the Venetian composer Antonio Salieri, marking the 200th anniversary of his death. In addition to some of his pieces, the program includes music by his "rival" Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his students, Ludwig Van Beethoven and Franz Schubert.
Participation in the concert is free, with registration required.
The event is currently sold out.
Reserved seats are guaranteed until 10 minutes before the start of the concert; after that, any available seats will be offered to interested attendees present. We recommend canceling your reservation directly from your Eventbrite account if you need to withdraw.
