Palazzo Bo: Reopening the Literature and Science Graduation Ceremony Rooms to the Public

19.04.2024

In collaboration with the Communication and Marketing Area, APAL, AES, the University Center for Museums, and thanks to the dedication of the University of Padua Pro-Rector for Artistic, Historical, and Cultural Heritage Monica Salvadori, the Literature and Science Graduations Ceremony Rooms of Palazzo Bo reopens to the public with a first guided tour on Friday 19 April at 5 pm.

Until the early 2000s, the rooms were rarely open to the public, now those responsible for the General Archive of the University will organize the Testimonianze di persone ed eventi dalle carte dell’archivio di Ateneo exhibition. Highlighting documents of some of the most illustrious scholars and events that mark the university’s history, the exhibition shares insights during the foundation of the university and across a wide scope of its growth by highlighting transformations over the centuries. The exhibition also unveils two display cases designed specifically for Palazzo Bo by the brilliant architect Gio Ponti in the 1940s, recently restored in 2023 thanks to the support of the University of Padua Association of Friends and Studio Corellazzo & Soatto, a professional association of accountants and lawyers with its main office in Padua.
