Oxford Meets Padua. Two days with our Oxford colleagues

On 14 and 15 March 2019, a delegation from the University of Padova, including our Rector, prof. Rosario Rizzuto, paid a visit to the University of Oxford, where they were welcomed by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor prof. Anne Trefethen.

On that occasion prof. Trefethen, our Rector and prof. Giuliana Tomasella, Director of the Centro di Ateneo per i Musei, signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will ensure a collaboration between CAM and Oxford University's Gardens, Libraries and Museums (GLAM). This is the first concrete sign of a growing cooperation between the two Universities: the Padua delegation included 20 academics, from fields as different as History, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Engineering and Linguistics, to discuss forms of cooperation that would include working in partnership on future exhibitions, encouraging exchanges of staff and students, and sharing of knowledge and expertise.
