Open University Career Day – Match for Life

The University of Padua welcomes the Veneto Bone Marrow Donors Association (ADMO) to engage with those interested in becoming a Match for Life.

On Thursday 23 May, Open University Career Day welcomes ADMO volunteers at Palazzo Bo and Palazzo Moroni to distribute self-administering saliva sample kits to possible bone marrow donors.

Donors must be in good general health and must be between 18 and 35 years of age with a minimum weight of 50 kg.  The event allows university students to learn more about future career opportunities while giving back to their community.

Once an analysis of your sample is complete, the Italian Bone Marrow Donor Registry compares your Donor Profile to for genetically viable matches. In some cases, the process stops here or they may contact you for further checks to see if your Donor Profile is compatible with those who need it.
