Green Dialogues (2022–2025) is drawing to a close, an international project promoted by the Department of FISPPA at the University of Padua, in collaboration with the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. Over four years, it has tested an innovative model in which research and teaching merge with reciprocal mobility programmes: students and faculty have spent periods in Norway, Spain, and Italy, engaging with ecocritical approaches in children's literature.

Contemporary children's literature has developed a growing interest in the interconnection between humans and the environment, in the continuous exchange and negotiation of ways of being in the world. These new directions in children's literature therefore challenge teachers of children's literature in higher education. The Green Dialogues project aims to enhance research, student and staff mobility, and, through innovative dialogic teaching practices, apply and exchange theoretical and didactic perspectives on children's literature relevant to addressing the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This multi-country study experience has created a shared and interdisciplinary context, strengthening European cooperation and training future educators capable of integrating sustainability, environmental justice, and climate literacy into educational practices. Green Dialogues stands out as a model of excellence at Unipd in international training, successfully uniting research, teaching, and active citizenship.
