03.05.2019

The Galileo Science and Innovation Week is taking place in Padova from May 6 to 12: seven days marked by many talks and meetings to promote innovation and innovative ideas.

Among the many chance to explore new ideas, concepts and examples, there are the events about the Triveneto Competence Center  -"Smact si parte", and about the training courses designed to speed up the digital transformation of the companies "Competenze e Industry 4.0" (Thursday, May 9); on Friday, May 10, the conference “"Perché i giovani scappano dal nostro paese" will focus on young Italian people choosing to work abroad, and “Economia circolare come driver per la creazione di valore in rete” will discuss about circular economy as a driver for creating value on the web.

Cene con la ricerca” (Thursday, May 9) is an interesting new event within the Week: thirteen unique chances to meet and have dinner with excellent researchers and innovators, to speak with them about the latest innovations and discoveries in a convivial and informal context. The University of Padova grants the opportunity to participate for free in any chosen event to the first 20 students (including PhDs) who will book their seats at web@unismart.it (by 11.30 pm on Friday, May 3). The regular participation fee is 50 euros.

On Friday May 10, at 10.30 am, the Aula Magna at Palazzo Bo will host the presentation of the Galileo Literary Prize, the main event of the festival (live streaming will be available online at www.galileofestival.it).
