First aid course for students

Ten lessons, from 27 March until 9 June, offer students a course in Basic Life Support (BLS) First Aid.

As part of the calendar of cultural and social initiatives conceived and managed by students, the course is open to the University of Padua student body.

Each of the four-hour long lessons (3 to 7 pm) take place in the classrooms of the University Hospital on March 27 & 28, May 3, 4, 5, 30 & 31 and June 7, 8 & 9.

Lessons are held (in Italian) by medical trainers in the field of emergency and medical aid and include theoretical lessons dedicated to the principles of first aid and the Italian 118 emergency system.  Training of the BLS protocol, first aid care including CPR-cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other basic life support actions are covered.
