Arqus Café: language practice

The 6th edition of the Arqus Café has started. The Arqus Café is a virtual meeting place where students and staff members of the Arqus University Alliance (of which Unipd is a member) can practice their foreign languages outside of language classes.
At the Arqus Café, you can expand your language and cultural knowledge informally and with other language learners. You will have the support from language tutors who are not language teachers, but competent language speakers.

Please note that the cafés are not language courses, but an opportunity to use your foreign languages in a relaxed atmosphere and in a small group. You should have a working knowledge of the language (min. A2/B1) so that you can actively participate in the sessions.

The language cafés take place via the video conference platform Zoom. Participation is free, enroll through the online form.

Current languages Cafè: Arab, English, French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Turkish.

If the language you would like to practice isn’t on the schedule or you would like to participate but the café offered doesn’t fit your schedule, just let us know at arqus_cafe@uni-leipzig.de. We adjust the cafés we offer on a regular basis.
