The 2024 Mineralogical Society of America Dana Medal to be awarded to Fabrizio Nestola

Prof Fabrizio Nestola of the Department of Geosciences at the University of Padua will be presented with the Dana Medal from the Mineralogical Society of America at The Geological Society of America annual meeting scheduled to take place in Anaheim, California, in September of 2024.

While in the midst of his career, the Dana Medal of the Mineralogical Society of America recognizes Prof Nestola for his outstanding and enduring scientific contributions to original research in the mineralogical sciences.

Former University of Padua Department of Geosciences Director, Prof Nestola holds a tenured professorship in Mineralogy and is the current President of the University Museums Centre. Boasting over 300 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, Prof Nestola exceeds over 6500 citations, which places him among the top 30 most prolific and impactful authors in recent years.
