Unipd research invited to the International FAN 2025 Conference in Antibes, France.
27.08.2024
Held from 9-11 April 2025 in Antibes - Juan les Pins, France, Unipd research invited to FAN 2025: International conference on Fan Noise, Aerodynamics, Applications and Systems. Now in its eighth edition, the International Reference Conference for Industrial Ventilation takes under the patronage of the University of Padua.
The industrial ventilation research carried out at the University of Padua is invited to Antibes. Our work is known and appreciated by academics and the industry in the sector, our work merits recognition, says Massimo Masi, professor of the Department of Systems Technology and Management industrialists. There are a limited number of members of the conference organizing committee the University has the responsibility of organizing one of the three fields subject to the presentation of research. The study of the aerodynamics of fans holds relevance from the perspective of energy sustainability, as these devices use over 10% of the electricity consumed in Europe.
The conference presents the progress of academic and industrial engineering research in three specific fields. Beyond the study of the aerodynamics of fans, we will also talk about the control of the noise emitted by fans, and the analysis (and solution) of some types of theoretical-practical problems associated with ventilation systems (from the ventilation of large buildings to the exchange of air in road tunnels, railway tunnels, subways, mines, etc.).
The conference, which brings together experts from all over the world, is organized by two French research bodies, CETIM (Technical Center for Mechanical Industries - which offers research to support manufacturing industries, especially in the Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, and Oil Gas sectors ), and CETIAT (Technical Center for Heating, Air Conditioning, and Air Treatment Industries - which offers research to support manufacturing industries in the aeraulic applications sector).
