MOOC ‘Exercise in Medicine: From Functional Evaluation to Adapted Exercise Training’

MOOC “L'esercizio fisico in medicina: Dalla valutazione funzionale all'esercizio fisico adattato” The new MOOC Exercise in Medicine: From Functional Evaluation to Adapted Exercise Training invites you to explore the importance of exercise for patients with chronic diseases. Current literature and guidelines clearly demonstrate that physical activity and exercise are effective and cost-effective methods for both prevention and treatment of various chronic diseases. However, this promising treatment is currently underused in real healthcare settings, mainly due to a lack of information and awareness. The course is aimed at students and health and motor professionals and was realised with funds from the Call for Projects for the Improvement of Education.

For more information please see the MOOC on FutureLearn and the brochure.

  ABILiTY3

ABility

ABILiTY3 represents an educational proposal focused on doing and communicating research in the biomedical field through experiential and inquisitive learning.

The project was developed along two lines

- a student-centred line realised through a laboratory internship, based on inquiry-based and experiential learning methodologies and through a workshop to enhance communication skills, designed to train students in the dissemination of scientific content in different contexts.
- a teacher-oriented line aimed at improving the effectiveness of the teaching methods used in tutoring and designing the laboratory enquiry in an engaging and formative manner.
