The Municipality of Padua’s Progetto Giovani Office launches a call for young contemporary visual artists and curators to participate in the 18th edition of the Step by Step Project created in collaboration with the University of Padua Department of Cultural Heritage.
Step By Step offers young people a chance to learn how to organize art exhibitions of emerging artists and curators. This is an opportunity to learn and develop a sense of teamwork for young people across all 'steps' of creating an exhibition, from selecting the work to copywriting promotional materials.
The Step by Step call aims to select 10 artists under the age of 35 who work in Veneto. While the group of curators (also under 35) who work in Veneto are chosen through the Step by Step call and as part of the Curare una mostra d’arte workshop under the History of Contemporary Arts teachings (DAMS) and the Storia e Tutela dei Beni Artistici e Musicali degree programs of UniPD’s Department of Cultural Heritage.
Those selected from the call will participate in a training course from mid-June 2023 to October 2023 as they engage in field trip activities and learn all there is to know about organizing, planning and bringing a contemporary art exhibition to fruition.
The call is open until 16 April 2023.
