The first edition of the Padova Climate Action Week is underway
17.03.2026
From 11 to 19 April 2026, the first edition of the Padova Climate Action Week (PCAW) will take place, an event dedicated to sustainability, climate action, and community engagement on major environmental issues of the present and future.
The event aims to promote awareness, dialogue, and active participation around the challenges posed by climate change, through a schedule of initiatives, meetings, and in-depth sessions for citizens, institutions, the research community, associations, businesses, and younger generations. Padova Climate Action Week is held under the patronage of the University of Padova, confirming the importance of increasingly close dialogue between scientific research, the local area, and civil society to build concrete and shared responses to the climate crisis.
During the week, the city will host events and activities designed to stimulate public debate, highlight best practices, and foster the spread of a culture of sustainability, focusing on the strategic role of collaboration between entities, organisations, and citizens.
As part of the scheduled events, Unipd will host the following:
- 11 April Dialogo con gli scienzati: Filippo Giorgi e Carlo Buontempo
- 11 April Transition away dai combustibili fossili: utopia o soluzione reale? in
