A new ESU canteen opens in Vicenza
07.01.2026
A new ESU canteen opens today, January 7, in Vicenza, at Viale Trissino 55, offering 250 seats at lunchtime for the student community enrolled in courses based in Vicenza.
The resumption of university classes after the Christmas break for students attending courses in Vicenza is therefore marked by this important development: the university cafeteria permanently leaves its historic location in the former GIL building to move to premises made available by the Vicenza University Studies Foundation until 2031. The service is available from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The new catering service, awarded through a public tender to Euroristorazione Srl, includes the preparation of first courses “made to order” and a menu featuring at least three first courses, four main courses, three side dishes, bread, dessert, and beverages. Vegan options and gluten-free dishes are also available. Access to the service requires use of the ESUPd.EAT app, which requires registration.

“The investment by ESU Padua in university catering in Vicenza,” explains the Regional Councillor for Education, Valeria Mantovan, “amounts to over €773,000. I would like to thank ESU Padua, led by Giuseppe Maschera, as well as the Vicenza University Studies Foundation, with its president Adamo Dalla Fontana, who—together with the University of Padua and the new service provider—made it possible to set up the new service within the scheduled timeframe, ensuring it is functional for staff and welcoming for students.”
