Refugee Week 2025. Community as a superpower
16.06.2025
On the occasion of World Refugee Day, which is celebrated every year on June 20 at the initiative of the United Nations, Padua offers a rich program of events designed to raise public awareness on the issue of the right to asylum and to enhance the reception and integration pathways present in the area.
From June 16 to 22, in various locations around the city, there will be meetings, exhibitions, workshops, screenings, and moments of conviviality, all under the title "Refugee Week: a week to learn about refugees and reception projects."
All events, which are free and open to the public, are part of the international Refugee Week program, a network of artistic and cultural initiatives that globally promotes inclusion, awareness, and social cohesion. The theme of Refugee Week 2025 is "Community as a superpower," highlighting the power that welcoming communities have to change lives and reshape the narrative around migration.
Refugee Week 2025 involves the collaboration of the Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialization at the University of Padua.
