Intergenerational co-housing: opportunities in Padua

The Municipality of Padua is promoting the third edition of the intergenerational co-housing project, which offers a solution to the growing demand for affordable housing from out-of-town university students, thanks to the generosity of people over 65 who make a room in their home available.
Students looking for accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic year can apply to become guests by filling out an online form, available on the Progetto Giovani website, by Monday, June 30.
The project, an initiative of the University of Padua's Office for the Right to Education, began experimentally in the summer of 2023 through a working group coordinated by the Municipality in collaboration with the University of Padua, ESU (the regional student support organization), and social partners. Applications are also open until June 15 for citizens over the age of 65 who are willing to host out-of-town students seeking housing for the upcoming academic year.
