The university of Padua meets Monash university

On June 30, 2022, the University of Padua hosts a delegation from Monash University, a prestigious Australianinstitute of higher education (57th according to the 2023 QS Ranking agency), with which the University of Padua has recently begun a strategic partnership.

The Rector of the University of Padua, and the President and Vice-Chancellor of Monash University, open the meeting with other representatives of the two institutions to discuss their links and the strategic objectives of their collaboration. Representatives from each university will sign a cooperation agreement that supports student mobility in all subject areas between the two universities and the development of a Mobility Window that offers a structured mobility path for the food, health and agribusiness subject areas. The Mobility Window with Monash University is the first to be signed by the University of Padua. Participants include Cristina Basso (Vice-Rector International Relations), Mara Thiene (Joint Degree Delegate and International Ranking), Fabio Zwirner (Vice-Rector Research), and Massimiliano Zattin (Vice-Rector PhD and Postgraduate)

An additional meeting follows with international relations representatives in which various collaboration initiatives will be evaluated, including the Call for proposals for joint initiatives in education and research, first launched in 2021, as well as other potential collaborative activities for the future.

The meeting continues with four thematic sessions that welcome professors from both universities of various subject areas, including Medicine, Physics and Geosciences, Engineering, and Social Sciences.
