The University of Padova on the top 25% of the world's best universities

The University of Padova is on the top 25% of the world's best universities. To certify it the ranking QS World University Rankings, which registers a leap forward of our university equal to 47 positions (ranking criteria), placing itself at 249th place on a global scale and entering among the top 25% of the world's best universities.
The University of Padova improved upon last year's results in all areas of the 2019 QS World University Rankings:
- Arts & Humanities: from 142nd to 129th place;
- Engineering & Technology: from 128th to 98th place;
- Life Sciences & Medicine: from 131st to 112nd place;
- Natural Sciences: from 95th to 84th place;
- Social Sciences & Management: from 169th to 124th place.
The University of Padova is confirmed as one of the best universities in the world for the natural science area (physics, chemistry, earth sciences) and it is also for the first time among the best 100 universities in the world in the engineering area; it's among the best 100 universities in the world in at least one subject in every single scientific area.
In the local context, the University of Padova is ranked first in Italy in the disciplinary areas of: Anatomy and physiology, Psychology and Education Sciences.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject are based upon academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.
