The University of Padova School of Law meets China

On Thursday 29 August 2019 the University of Padova School of Law will meet a delegation of Chinese academics and lawyers, led by Professor He Weifang and Mr. Peng Shu.

Professor He Weifang is a law professor at Peking University (Beida), probably the most important University in China. Professor Bernardo Cortese and Professor Andrea Pin of the Public Law Department of the School of Law will have the great opportunity of discussing with Professor He Weifang the Chinese, European and Italian legal and judicial systems.

Professor He Weifang and the Chinese delegation of lawyers are coming to Italy in the framework of the activities of Lex Magister China, a new Chinese legal media, of which Mr. Peng Shu is the CEO.

The Chinese delegation will be greeted by the Rector of the University of Padova, Professor Rosario Rizzuto, and his delegated Prorector Professor Alessandro Paccagnella, in charge of international relations, and by further academic authorities.
The meeting will further involve the presentation of the University of Padova School of Law’s activities in Padova and Treviso, and the discussion of cooperation opportunities the School of Law might offer to Chinese academics and lawyers.
The closed-door meeting will take place at the University of Padova Rector’s Sala da Pranzo official meeting room, at Palazzo del Bo.

Tomorrow’s meeting is part of a two days visit of the Chinese lawyers’ delegation to the Veneto region. On Friday, 30 August, they will be the guests of Professor Bruno Barel in Treviso and Conegliano, where they will meet representatives of the business world.
