Dividing her time between studying law in Treviso and fencing alongside the Italian National Team, Martina Favaretto demonstrates extraordinary progression in the foil weaponry form of Olympic fencing after her recent win at the International Fencing World Cup in Cairo.
On Saturday 24 February, the Fiamme Oro police force athlete won gold at the individual foil fencing World Cup in Cairo and returned to the podium the following day with her national teammates adorning a silver medal around her neck.

Guided by her Olympic gold medalist coach Mauro Numa, Martina will now aim for the Paris Olympics.
With international success in winning bronze at the World Championships in Milan and silver at the European Championships in Plovdiv, all of Italy will be rooting for Martina from Saturday 27 July to Sunday 4 August 2024 at the Grand Palais during nine days of men’s and women’s individual and team competitions.
