Student participation in the GISU Competition Promoting Sustainable Urban Development

Registration is open for students to participate in the fourth edition of the Urban Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, as promoted by the Guangzhou International Sister Cities University Alliance (GISU). The competition includes cash and other prizes for business plans based on different projects and categories under registered Concept Teams or Start-up Teams. As a founding member of the GISU Alliance, the University of Padua continues its collaboration and will host the Finale this year.
The theme of the 2023 Alliance Competition is Promoting Sustainable Urban Development with Scientific and Technological Innovation, focusing on Science Entrepreneurship.

Eligible participants must be full-time students over the age of 18 or recent graduates (those who graduated after 2018).
Based on different projects and categories, competition groups include:
- CONCEPT TEAMS: Members of the team have not funded a company, but have a business idea or project. - START-UP TEAMS: Members have launched a start-up company. The company must not have been established before 2021. The equity of the legal representative of the participating enterprise shall not be less than 10% and the total equity of the participating members shall not be less than 1/3. The corporate legal representative shall not be allowed to make changes after the announcement of the contest.
Interested participants have until 16 June 2023 to submit projects in writing to gisu.competition@unipd.it.
