Sense and Sensibility
04.06.2025
The Fisppa Department of the University of Padua invites you to the conference Sense and Sensibility in Social and Educational Work with Children and Families, which explores the innovative approach of "sense" and "sensibility" in social and educational work, inspired by the recently published book Sense and Sensibility in Social Work: Families and Children: European Perspectives on Developments in Child Protection and Welfare.
This is an opportunity to discuss how sense — meaning the application of knowledge and reasoning within cultural and social contexts — can be balanced with sensibility — which emphasizes relationships, co-creation, and building trust — to transform social and educational interventions.
Together with leading experts, the practical applications of this perspective on child protection and family well-being in Europe will be examined.
The interventions will be conducted in Italian and English. Simultaneous interpretation from Italian to English and vice versa will be available via an online connection through the Zoom platform.
Participation is free of charge and requires registration.
