Respecting the Past, Conserving the Future

24.11.2025

On the 4, 5 and 6 of December 2025, at the venues of Palazzo Bo and Palazzo Maldura, the international conference "Respecting the Past, Conserving the Future" will take place, organised by the doctoral students of the 39th cycle of the PhD course in History, Criticism and Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Padua.

The conference, now in its fifth edition, aims to serve as an opportunity for dialogue and sharing on the theme of restitution, understood in its multiple perspectives of study, analysis and comprehension of cultural heritage. Starting from disciplinary and interdisciplinary contributions relating to the fields of archaeology, history of art, music, cinema and theatre, the objective is to reflect on the preservation of memories and identities, on the respect and protection of human beings and their material and immaterial testimonies, as tools for a conscious construction of the present and the future.

The conference can also be followed online.

All interested individuals are invited to participate.
