THE Reputation Ranking 2025: The University of Padua Among the Top 200 in the World
25.02.2025
On February 19, the international ranking agency Times Higher Education (THE) published its academic reputation ranking: the THE World Reputation Ranking 2025. This year, 300 institutions worldwide were considered, compared to 200 in the previous edition.
Despite this increase, the University of Padua has maintained its performance since 2022, remaining in the 151-200 range globally. In Italy, it ranks fourth, preceded nationally only by Sapienza, the University of Bologna, and the Polytechnic University of Milan.
More than 50,000 responses were collected from academics in 193 countries who participated in the THE Global Academic Reputation Survey, conducted between November 2023 and January 2024 and available in 13 languages. The results of this survey will be used, along with 16 other indicators, to compile the THE World University Rankings 2026, which will be published next October 2025.
The results of this ranking certify the prestige enjoyed by the University of Padua worldwide and attest to the quality of research and teaching at our university. This achievement is also an invitation to invest increasingly in research, teaching, and internationalization, to offer our students an excellent educational experience and provide research staff with an environment that facilitates research, exchange, and sharing of results.
