Radioactivity – from Nature to Technology

27.03.2024

From 26 March to October 2024, the Giovanni Poleni Museum of the History of Physics of the University of Padua will host the temporary exhibition Radioactivity - from Nature to Technology.

Organized by the Museum of Radioactivity, the exhibition intertwines current Poleni Museum exhibitions by revealing the crucial role of radioactivity in our existence.

With traces of radioactivity in water, food and everyday objects, the exhibition offers a unique perspective by showing how radioactivity is an integral part of our lives. Visitors may learn to overcome unfounded fears through knowledge and awareness of the radioactive that surrounds us.

The exhibition is open on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, as visitors enjoy a free copy of the booklet Gli alimenti e i raggi del cobalto.

Guided tours are possible with reservation from Monday to Friday (for a fee). The exhibition will then be open to visitors on the following Sundays during regular opening hours.
