QS Rankings: the University of Padua gains 18 positions entering the top 20% of world universities

The University of Padua is the world’s 216th best university, according to one of the most prestigious international university rankings. In the 17th edition of the QS World University Rankings, released today by global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the University of Padua rose 18 places compared to last year, entering the top 19% of over 1,600 evaluated institutions. Since 2017, the University of Padua has climbed up 116 places in the QS ranking, improving every year and performing well especially in “Academic Reputation” and “Citations per Faculty”.

The University of Padua represents one of the best Italian environment for innovative studies and cutting-edge research, according also to the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). In the recently published CWUR global university ranking 2020/2021, in fact, Padua ranks 164th in the world and second in Italy, after La Sapienza University of Rome. “Research Performance” is the CWUR highest ranked indicator for University of Padua, which ranks 108th globally in this specific metric.
