Padua takes first place again in the "Giretto d'Italia"

For the third year in a row, Padua has ranked first nationwide in Legambiente’s "Giretto d’Italia". With 7,224 trips made in a single day by bicycle, e-bike, or scooter, the city reaffirms its status as the national leader in active and sustainable mobility.
The initiative took place on September 18 as part of the European Sustainable Mobility Week, an annual campaign encouraging everyone to support and promote sustainable transport solutions.
The Giretto d’Italia is a competition between cities aimed at promoting commuting to work or school using bicycles or other forms of electric micromobility. The event has long involved the University of Padua and the Municipality of Padua.
Padua claimed the top spot among the 50 municipalities and companies that took part.
