Michela Fagiolini, guest at the PNC Distinguished Lectures

26.06.2023

As part of the seminars organized by the “Padua Neuroscience Center – PNC”, Michela Fagiolini will give a talk entitled “Circuit dissection in neurodevelopmental disorders from mouse to human” on June 29 (3 p. m.) at the Sala seminari of Fondazione Ricerca Biomedica Avanzata VIMM.

Understanding the mechanisms underlying experience-dependent brain development and refinement in neurodevelopmental disorders can guide the design of effective target therapies. In particular, the focus will be on the ongoing preclinical and clinical work investigating the impact of arousal on sensory processing in Rett Syndrome (RTT).

Michela Fagiolini is Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Associate in Neurology at Boston Children's Hospital. She serves as Specialty Chief Editor of Frontiers of

Neuroscience Neurodevelopment. Her work focuses on understanding how the brain develops and adapts to the external environment in health and disorders.

The seminar, in English, is intended for professors, researchers, lecturers, Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and grant holders.

Participation is free while places are available.
